Eitetsu Hayashi Brings 'The Heartbeat of Japan' to SFSU on Nov. 1 and 2

Internationally acclaimed drummer and composer Eitetsu Hayashi and his ensemble will bring 'The Heartbeat of Japan' to San Francisco State University's McKenna Theater on Nov. 1 and 2.

Hayashi, who has brought the power of Wadaiko (Japanese taiko drums) around the world, will appear as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival. The program is co-sponsored by the U.S./Japan Cultural Trade Network in association with San Franciscio State University. Special guests Dee Spencer on piano and musicians from the San Francisco School of the Arts also will perform.
